July Prayer Letter

Beloved in Christ Jesus,

Grace be to you and peace from God the Father and from our Lord Jesus Christ who gave Himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father. I keep you and your family in my prayers.
A big  "thank you"  to all those who pray for us,the family but also the work we still do with Bread of Life Baptist ministries in Malawi.Very often we are so conscious that we couldn't do what we are doing without your support.

MINISTRY BLESSINGS
(a)     BIBLE INSTITUTE
As we started the Bible Institute in May,the thought on our mind is,"We have a faithful God Who is able to do more than we can ask or think." When we began classes ,this school year, the Lord sent 29 students. It is always a joy to have new students as our ministry is about training "competent, compassionate, effective servant-leaders for the ministry of Christ in the local churches of Malawi, and the world. Bread of Life Bible Institute continues to be excited in being an agent of God in training, preparing and ministering to those whom God sends to us.Join with us in prayer that the Lord of the harvest will raise up more for this vital training.
Through our first three months since we opened the Bible Institute we have faced fears, challenges and blessings and we have certainly discovered the truth of Psalm 27;13,"I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living."Thank each of you for you prayers. It has been an exciting and at the same time challenging three months but at the same time we have experienced incredible blessings from the Lord.

(b)  NEW  BAPTISTERY
Two weeks ago,Our faithful God filled our hearts with tears of joy as we baptized 19 new converts at our newly baptistery constructed on our property. Before we constructed the baptistery we had to travel long distance down to the river if we could get any water for baptism. The water there wasn't  good for our health. Thanks again for your prayers and support. You are my encouragement while I am in harvest field.I am eternally grateful for you and to God for making possible for me to connect you. Thanks once again for being so helpful.

(c)   CHILDREN MINISTRY
Our Children ministry has also take off. It's a blessing to see these participating in lessons, memorizing scriptures, trusting in Jesus, and learning Bible principles which will guide them throughout life.

HARD TO SAY GOODBYE
We have  enjoyed visit from Harry and his son-in-law Arlin in May and June. They were such a blessing as they came ready to work.Their visit was so sweet to see loved ones, and we can imagine the joy we will have in Heaven of never having to say 'Goodbye' ever again

 PRAYERS
Remember us before the throne of grace as often as possible (Ephesians 6;18)
1     We are desperate in need of a vehicle.Pray with us about the desire of ours to have a vehicle to be able to minister in many ways we otherwise couldn't be able to minister. It is not easy to accomplish all we are doing without a vehicle only depend on bicycles and public transport.
2    We are struggling  with Medical and food bills for the students. Please if possible remember us in  your prayers so that we can accomplish His will for us in Malawi.
3     We are desperate for the Lord to use us,We therefore crave for your prayers.
4      Traveling mercies for my wife,Mercy and other women from the women conference in Mangochi.
Thanks again for your prayers and support.Only eternity will tell the full result of the investment you have made into God's work here in Malawi. We love you all.

             We appreciate you so much,

              Joseph Maweta's family.

May and June visit with Harry Schenimann

My son-in-law Arlin and myself returned from three weeks in Malawi on June 4. It was a great trip, but I was wore out. The biggest part of the trip was spent in Ntcheu at Sharp Valley with Joseph, the national pastor that we support.
It was so good to see the Bible Institute and the church together on the property  When we arrived they were still doing some finishing work on the Bible institute , but classes had been in session for a week. It looked great.  The inside was complete and most of the rooms were being used for student lodging or for instruction. What a blessing to see a building so quickly filled with future workers for the Lord.  Amen!
We taught at the Bible Institute each day then, at 3pm, we packed up the Jesus film equipment and about 11 students in the back of the pick-up truck and headed for a far away village - always down a very difficult washed out dirt road-so far out that I was sure that there were no people. But, to my surprise there would end up being 250 to 350 people show up to watch the Jesus Film and hear a message of salvation.  Many would receive Jesus as savior.
The Bible institute had 29 students- seven of them were women, and most of them were young. Two were 17.  They were all pleased to be there and were hungry to know more about the Lord, and have a closer relationship with Him.
They started a soccer team at the Institute so they can have competition and at the games show the Jesus Film.  It worked very well.
I have attached some pics to help with the picture.
I will be giving a power point presentation on Sunday June 29 at 6PM.
Stoney Mountain Baptist Church next Sunday at 6PM
